The Office of Commonwealth Libraries invites you to a celebration of the State Library of Pennsylvania
We celebrate the historic space and the centuries of contribution by the Office of Commonwealth Libraries, the libraries and librarians of Pennsylvania, and the people who made it possible with a full day of ceremony, interactive programs, exhibits, and lectures.

What to expect:
- Food and beverages will be available for purchase from food trucks or nearby restaurants.
- The event begins in the lobby at 11a.m. with a ceremony and remarks.
- Enjoy a behind the scenes tour of the State Library of Pennsylvania.
- In the afternoon, visit and network with library workers and statewide organizations that support Pennsylvanians’ use of libraries.
- From 1-5p.m., enjoy presentations and speakers in the Law Library, including historians with tales of the Forum Building’s Harrisburg location, the history of libraries, and the restoration and renovations done to ensure the State Library of Pennsylvania will continue to be a palace of knowledge for all Pennsylvanians now and into the future.
