Patty Collamer is a retired college professor, an author, a yoga and meditation instructor, a new grandmother, hoo-man to a giant dog, and an everyday caregiver for her amazing ninety-eight-year-old father who lives in his own apartment.
Patty will discuss her caregiving journey which she wrote about in her memoir, Grace on the Ledge. She’ll talk about her life today, as she continues to learn and grow discovering ways to include some peace in every day, in every moment, by cultivating the four virtues of loving kindness, compassion, unselfish joy, and even-mindedness.
Patty will introduce ways to include these four virtues into your life by gradually becoming more aware of where and what you are doing in any given moment. The simple steps of attaching a few of your own words to one breath at a time are outlined in detail in her newest book, One Simple Breath: A Caregiver’s Guide to Inner Peace, published March 2021.
