Please use the form, 2025 Award Nomination Form for PCBL, to submit nominations for the annual Pennsylvania Citizens for Better Libraries (PCBL) Awards before April 30, 2025.

There are two categories of awards that you can submit nominations for:

Friend of the Year: Award given to a citizen who has made an outstanding contribution to the improvement of a local library, group of libraries, or libraries in general throughout the State during the past two years. The Friend must be a member of a Friends Group belonging to PCBL or an individual member of PCBL for consideration.

Friends Group of the Year: Award given to a Friends group that has provided significant assistance to its library. Assistance may be monetary contributions, assistance in raising funds, promoting the library and its services, or providing an advocacy effort on behalf of the library. The Friends Group must be a member of PCBL.

Awards will be announced via the PaLA Bulletin and the PaLA Annual Conference program booklet. Awards will be presented at the convenience of the winners and PCBL.
