About the Speaker:
Ron Hain has served in law enforcement for more than 28 years and has served as the Sheriff of Kane County, Illinois since 2018. Ron has worked in varying capacities, including narcotics officer, canine handler, SWAT Team Leader, and Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Team. Since becoming Sheriff, Ron has implemented a myriad of jail reform programs that have reduced recidivism (habitual relapse into crime) from 45% to 18% and reduced the opioid overdose deaths of the formerly incarcerated by 89%.
