The Access PA/POWER Library Fall 2015 training is fast approaching and registration continues. A complete list of the training sessions is available on the POWER Library Portal.
The Access PA/POWER Library Fall 2015 training will be held in 10 locations across Pennsylvania and consist of 11 sessions with a continental breakfast provided free of charge. Attendees will be given an hour for lunch on your own.
NOTE: The GoToTraining software being used for registration requires that each attendee register with a unique email address! Only one registrant per email address is permitted.
On site sign-in will begin at 8:15am, with all sessions beginning promptly at 9am and ending no later than 3pm. The training agenda, along with directions to the venue, will be emailed to your attention one week and one day before the scheduled session.
Act 48 and Continuing ED Credit Information
Certified school librarians are eligible to receive Act 48 credit hours for attending a session. Act 48 credit forms will be provided at each session. Librarians from a public or academic library and school library aides, are eligible for CE credits. Certificates will be handed out to all attendees at the end of each session. Act 48 credits will be posted sometime in November upon completion of all of the training sessions.
The morning and afternoon will consist of two concurrent sessions, including a POWER Library e-resource session and an Access PA SHAREit session. Feel free to attend the morning and afternoon session that most meets your information needs.

8:15am – 9:00am: Registration and Continental Breakfast
9:00am – 12:00pm:
Session A: Access PA SHAREit (Covers training requirements of SHAREit including: Searching; Placing and Fulfilling ILL Requests; the Participant Record; Public Interface) or
Session B: POWER Library e-resources (Overview of e-resources; BookFLIX Updates; SIRS Discoverer; eBook updates; PowerKids; Statistics)
12:00pm – 1:00pm: Lunch on your own
1:00pm – 3:00pm:
Session A: Access PA SHAREit (Adds, Changes and Deletes; Downloading MARC Records; My Account Settings; Statistics) or
Session B: POWER Library e-resources (MasterFILE (EBSCOhost Interface); Explora) Once you have decided on which sessions you want to attend, select one of the links labeled Register Now.
Keep in mind that the deadline for registering is one week before the scheduled session, however space is limited and seats will be filled on a first come basis.
