Hunger is a severe roadblock to the learning process. Lack of nutrition during the summer months may set up a cycle of poor performance once school begins.
Help feed children in your community so children who reside in your area can return to school in the fall ready to learn.

Non-profit organizations may sponsor the program and receive reimbursement for qualifying meals served to eligible children. You may also be a site where a sponsor delivers the meals.  There is a great need for the Summer Food Service Program, particularly in those areas of the Commonwealth where many children are eligible for free or reduced price school meals.

Read about the libraries in the Seneca Library District that will offer snacks this summer. Over 50 libraries in the state are participating as a site or a sponsor.  Let’s increase that number for maximum community engagement!
