The Northeast, Wilkes-Barre and Pottsville Library Districts are proud to offer Building Stronger Communities: Libraries as a Force for Change on Thursday, August 24th from 9:30AM-3:OOPM (Registration 9-9:30) at the Holiday Inn Wilkes-Barre – East Mountain. Registration is $5 and includes breakfast and lunch.

This is a  full-day participatory workshop which will utilize the Aspen Report on Public Libraries and the companion Action Guide to provide a framework for using the ACTivities to begin the process of aligning your library  – its programs, services, and resources – to support the goals, priorities and aspirations of your community.  The Aspen Guide focuses on three areas, the library as People, Place, and Platform in order to transform library service.
