Good morning library colleagues!
I wanted to share a well-deserved spotlight on the Library of Accessible Media for Pennsylvanians (LAMP) from our partner, and strong library supporter, PBS member television station WQED. This featured spot highlights LAMP services, staff, volunteers, and commitment to the statewide community speaks to the value of libraries and accessibility services.
“As we grow we add on different services to enhance new literacies like technology. We help people understand the accessibility features of their smart devices, for instance” said Mark Lee, LAMP Library Administrator. As a statewide service to all eligible Pennsylvania residents the LAMP libraries highlight equitable service landscape of diverse Pennsylvania communities including organizational members, like libraries.
The Office of Commonwealth Libraries would like to thank both the LAMP staff and hundreds of volunteers who provide this valuable service to the residents of PA.
