StoryCorps Wins TED Prize — Learn How Your Library Can Partner with Them | Compendium

GetStoried announces that StoryCorps Wins $1 million TED Prize.

StoryCorps is an oral history project which has collected and archived more than 50,000 interviews from more than 80,000 participants. Each conversation is recorded on a free CD to share, and is preserved at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress. Their weekly broadcasts are listened to on NPR’s Morning Edition. On StoryCorps’ Listen Page their entire archive is preserved in the Library of Congress.

Local libraries may partner with them!  StoryCorps @ your library is designed to help public libraries across the country collect the stories of their communities.  Learn more about StoryCorp.
