Greencastle, May 16: The Besore Library and Greencastle Police Department will be hosting a seminar on 3 different topics: “How to better protect yourself from scams”, “What to do with your expired medications”, and the “Pennsylvania Yellow Dot program”. On Tuesday, June 6th, 2017 at 6:00 pm at the Besore Library. Information on these topics will be covered by Officer Kevin Creager of the Greencastle Police Department
SCAM presentation – The officer will go over different types of scams that are known in our local area, safety tips on what you should do, what you should look for, and places you can contact concerning scams.
Drug Take Back Program- How to safely dispose of prescriptions and over-the-counter medications when they are expired or not used anymore. Why this is important! Where you can do this. Also disposing of needles the safe way.
Pennsylvania Yellow Dot Program – This program was created to assist citizens in the “golden hour” of emergency care following a traffic accident when they may not be able to communicate their needs themselves. This program is a cooperative effort among the Pennsylvania Departments of Transportation, Heal and aging; the PA State Police, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and First Responders and local law enforcement.
