Remake Learning Days (RLD) is an international festival celebrating innovative, hands-on learning experiences for youth and families. In 2025, the festival marks a significant milestone—its 10th anniversary! From April 19 to May 31, events will take place across 15 regions in four countries, spotlighting creativity and collaboration.
In Pennsylvania, the festival is scheduled from May 1 to May 23, encompassing seven regions: Southwestern, Northwestern, Central, North Central, South Central, Northeastern, and Southeastern PA.
Why Libraries Should Participate
Pennsylvania libraries are invited to join this vibrant celebration by hosting engaging, family-friendly events that inspire curiosity and a love for learning. As community hubs, libraries are uniquely positioned to offer diverse programs that align with Remake Learning Days’ themes: arts, maker activities, outdoor learning, science, technology, and youth voice.
Benefits of Participation:
- Community Engagement: Showcase your library as a vibrant center for learning and innovation.
- Increased Visibility: Gain exposure through regional and national RLD marketing efforts.
- Programming Support: Access potential funding to enhance your event offerings.
How to Participate
- Design Your Event: Create an engaging, hands-on learning experience aligned with one or more RLD themes.
- Submit Your Event Details: Complete the event submission form by February 21, 2025. Your event will be reviewed by your region’s lead organizer, and you’ll be notified once it’s approved and published on the RLD website.
- Promote Your Event: Use the marketing materials provided to share your event with your community.
- Host and Celebrate: Welcome families to your library from May 1–May 23, 2025, and inspire a love of learning!
Funding Opportunities for Event Hosts
Libraries can also apply for Event Host Awards or mini-grants to support their programming. Funding amounts range from $150, $250, or $500, and awards are available for events hosted individually, in collaboration with schools, or as part of broader community partnerships.
To apply for funding, you must first submit your event details. The deadline for both event submissions and funding applications is Friday, February 21, 2025.
