Request for Feedback – LibAnswers and LibGuides | Compendium

On October 15, 2024, the Bureau of Library Development (BLD) launched LibAnswers as a tool to assist the field in getting answers to library related questions. In an effort to ensure the platform is useful to the field – we started sending surveys to completed responses. This means if someone submits a question via the question form, they will likely also receive an email asking them to rate their interaction and provide comments. It is possible that this survey will change as we receive responses and make changes to the platform.

Additionally, we are asking for feedback on all BLD LibGuides. It is our intention that all resources are useful and comprehensive for the field. We have created a feedback form to ensure the LibGuides are aligning with that goal. The form will be open until June 2025 – so please feel free to submit more than one response.

Please submit any questions to the LibAnswers question form.

The Bureau of Library Development (BLD) in the Office of Commonwealth Libraries supports libraries and library services for Pennsylvanians through the administration of state and federally funded programs and grant opportunities including LSTA (Library Services and Technology Act), Library Access, LAMP (Library of Accessible Media for Pennsylvanians), the Public Library Subsidy, and Keystone Grants for Public Library Facilities. BLD also provides advisory services, professional development, and continuing education for library staff and volunteer leadership at public, school, academic, and special libraries.

The Compendium is BLD’s primary communication channel. If you don’t already subscribe, please do so to ensure you receive the most up-to-date information.
