PA Forward Information Literacy Summit: Supporting Future Forward Workplace Competencies | Compendium

Information Literacy Summit logoThe 2016 PA Forward Information Literacy Summit Planning Committee has announced that registration for the July 21, 2016 Summit – “Library Services by Design: Supporting Future Forward Workplace Competencies” – is now open at http://bit.ly/PAFILS2016.

You do not need to be a member of PaLA to register and attend.
Five ACT 48 credits will be available.

The event will be held at the Paterno Library, Penn State University, State College, PA and the morning Keynote on information literacy and workplace competencies for academic, school, and public libraries will be presented by three speakers:

Russ Hall – Associate Librarian focusing on reference and instruction at Penn State Behrend in Erie, Pennsylvania
Wes Roberts – Library Services Manager of Workforce and Economic Development at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh
Dr. Brenda Boyer – Freelance instructional designer and a librarian for the Kutztown (PA) Area School District

If you would like to book a room at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center,  a discounted Summit rate is available.  Reservations must be made by June 20, 2016.
