When PDE approval has been given to run the competitive cycle, the 2016 LSTA Competitive Grants will utilize the PDE e-Grant system.  Webinars will be offered on accessing the system and completing the grant applications.

Grants will focus on the priorities of IMLS and the Office of Commonwealth Libraries.  The four types of grant proposals are:

  • Moving Pa Forward: focuses on developing programs around the five Pa Forward literacies.
  • Creation: grants will be used to create opportunities for users to experience hands-on creation.
  • Mobile Technology: for purchasing new technology to enhance public access to information and its development.
  • Try It!: focused on developing projects that are new and support LSTA priorities.

Currently, no timeline has been set since the plan is contingent on PDE approval to run the competitive cycle.
