staff as safe as possible while doing so.
• How to help staff that may be making patron behavior problems worse themselves!
• How to recognize the different levels of patron emotion and what best to say and do (including when I think
you should call the police).

PRESENTERWarren Graham
Warren Graham has been a security professional for thirty years and he spent seventeen years as the Security and Safety Manager for the Public Library of Charlotte & Mecklenburg County, developing and overseeing their program. He left in August of 2006 to establish Warren Davis Graham Training & Consulting. In 2012, the American Library Association published an updated version of his books, entitled The Black Belt Librarian. Graham has made countless presentations and is a leading speaker internationally on practical day-to-day library security procedures.
