This is your chance to be heard!  The PA Workforce Development Board is hosting a series of regional “Listening Sessions” to gather feedback on Pennsylvania’s 2020-2024 workforce development strategies.* You may see parallels between the work that public libraries are doing and the WIOA goals.  Helping Pennsylvanians with barriers to employment find jobs?  Pennsylvania libraries do that every day.  Data sharing?  Pennsylvania libraries are naturals at sharing information and data.  Libraries are a strong-hold for youth-related programs as well.

The deadline to RSVP to the listed PA WDB resource account is Friday, July 19, 2019.  The PA Workforce Development Board asks that you please encourage everyone to RSVP to the listed PA WDB resource account so that they can keep an accurate count of expected attendance at each location

This is a win-win opportunity.  You will have an opportunity to educate others about the work you are doing and you may learn things to take back to your library.  Gathering with others who share a common goal often yields unexpected and positive results.
