FREE Program: Creating Collaborative STEM Learning Environments | Compendium

Build your confidence and learn how to facilitate STEM into a library setting.  Toni Stith of the Carnegie Science Center will discuss how to create a collaborative STEM learning environment and the resource materials that you’ll need for children aged 10-14.

In the morning  you will learn about “inquiry based learning,” a great strategy to enhance library programs by experimenting and stimulating curiosity.  In the afternoon, you will explore the “E” of STEM and will learn some practical ways to integrate engineering principles into your programs.  You will  rotate through stations involving hands-on learning.  Throughout the workshop, you’ll learn ways to share with your library audience that STEM is for everyone.

Registration is FREE. Lunch will be provided.

Registration will end on Monday, April 9, 2018.  Space is limited please register to save your seat.
