The Benson Memorial Library is adding a new collection for community members to borrow at the library! The new collection, called Byron Benson’s Odds & Ends, is full of interesting items that will be sure to make your life more interesting.

So what’s in the Benson’s Odds & Ends? Here’s the list of what we have so far.

Byron Benson's Odds and Ends

  • Ukulele (w/ how to book, case, tuner)
  • Croquet set
  • Kill A Watt Electricity Usage
  • Dora the Explorer Aluminum Cake Pan
  • Elmo Face Cake Pan
  • TRQ-244 Cassette Tape Recorder
  • Common Access Card Reader
  • Littlebits Steam Student Set

WILL THERE BE MORE ITEMS COMING TO THE COLLECTION?
The library will be adding to the collection over time, so please stop in to see what new Odds & Ends we’ve discovered.

HOW DO I CHECK OUT THE ITEMS IN THE ODDS & ENDS COLLECTION?
All of these items can be checked out by anyone with a Benson Memorial Library card in good standing. These items check out for one week at a time. Library patrons can renew these items TWICE. Like books, there is a 5 day grace period on the return of these items and after that fines accrue at $0.20/day

WHERE CAN YOU FIND THESE ITEMS IN THE LIBRARY?
Visit our library during our open hours (M-Th 9am-8pm, F-S 9am-5pm) and head into the Wentz Reading Room and there you’ll see the Odds & Ends Collection.

Benson Memorial Library Executive Director: “Public libraries have always been about bringing all kinds of information and learning to their community, and the Odds & Ends Collection does just that. Now if there’s something you wanna learn or try but you can’t afford the tools, the library is there for you. This is just another great way for our community to learn and grow together.”
