Join the second Civic & Social Literacy summit for lively discussions focused on creating a safe space for civic dialog and engagement in the library. You will learn facilitation skills, discover innovative program ideas, and be inspired to find ways to leverage your library’s resources to build civic engagement and address key social problems in your community.
Keynote Speakers:
Jon Price’s passion for civic engagement has called him to serve in several leadership positions in both local and state government. While still serving as Legislative Director for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, Jon accepted a position at Penn State York to share his knowledge and passion for history and government.
Michael Kumer’s passion for communication shines in his high-energy workshops where he teaches facilitation skills to non-profit organizations so that they can serve their constituents efficiently, effectively, and creatively. Michael is the owner of Boards MTO in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and serves clients nationwide.
