We want to start off this post by thanking everyone for their patience and excellent questions throughout this process. This is the first year BLD has hosted this type of event, and it has definitely been a learning experience.
In an effort to make sure everyone has the same information, we wanted to answer some common questions we’ve received and provide some clarification.
- Confirmation emails – Once registration closes or capacity limits are reached, confirmation emails will be sent out. If you aren’t sure if you registered successfully and want to double check, please feel free to submit a LibAnswers contact us form.
- BLD Representation – Almost all BLD staff will be at each Statewide Gathering. So, if you’ve ever been interested in meeting Heather, Sara, Corri, Ed, Julie, Heather (yes there are two Heathers), Kris, Bri, Hadiyah, Amy, Davi, Abbey, Mike, Cynthia, or Lilian, consider attending one of the events. Sue Banks will also be at the events as our luncheon presenter – except for May 23rd.
- Feedback Gathering – There is one section of the agenda focused on input and information gathering. The intention is to gather feedback during this portion of the agenda – and we will share out via the Compendium a feedback form for everyone.
- The responses and results of the feedback gathering will be used to make decisions about the format and content of any future Statewide Gatherings.
Please reach out via LibAnswers with any questions. See our previous Statewide Gathering post for additional information.
This project is made possible in part by federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Office of Commonwealth Libraries.
The Bureau of Library Development (BLD) in the Office of Commonwealth Libraries supports libraries and library services for Pennsylvanians through the administration of state and federally funded programs and grant opportunities including LSTA (Library Services and Technology Act), Library Access, LAMP (Library of Accessible Media for Pennsylvanians), the Public Library Subsidy, and Keystone Grants for Public Library Facilities. BLD also provides advisory services, professional development, and continuing education for library staff and volunteer leadership at public, school, academic, and special libraries.
The Compendium is BLD’s primary communication channel. If you don’t already subscribe, please do so to ensure you receive the most up-to-date information.
