Trustee Workshop: Building an Exceptional Board presented by PANO’s Tish Mogan

In this presentation, participants will use the Standards for Excellence program to:
- learn how to create greater diligence for board governance and legal responsibilities
- review tools to create maximum engagement of board members
- create board meeting practices to maximize the outcomes of meetings
- review by-laws and other board documents to ensure board activities are relevant to the library’s mission
Tish Mogan brings over 40 years of experience in education and nonprofit management to this workshop. She came to Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations (PANO) in 2002 to develop and deliver the Standards for Excellence Program in Pennsylvania. Her work in providing training programs, the availability of the resources provided by the Standards for Excellence program and her experience in guiding organizations to full accreditation, has allowed her to find efficient ways to allow board and staff to create a blueprint to make improvements in board management practices and infrastructure operations.
