Jeanie Sluck’s Work for Literacy Cited
Jeanie Sluck, director of the Taylor Community Library, was honored by the Northeastern Pennsylvania Reading Association with its “Celebrate Literacy Award” during the Association’s 50th Anniversary Dinner recently.
Sluck was recognized for her participation in Association activities that encourage reading by children. Also honored along with Ms. Sluck was children’s book author Pat Thomas.
“I am so honored and grateful to be given this award on the same program as Pat Thomas, a writer whose books give so much joy to children,” Ms. Sluck said.
