Hotspots – Libraries Check out the Internet! | Compendium

On October 19, 2015, the Chester County and Henrietta Hankin Branch Libraries launched a pilot program with T-Mobile to offer mobile hotspots to our customers for a nominal fee.  The Library hotspot program allows library card holders to access unlimited, high-speed Internet service anywhere a T-Mobile signal can be received.  Borrowers can connect up to ten devices at a time, including desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, etc.  The device is perfect for those who have no Internet access at home, are going on vacation, or taking their business on the road.  The pilot program ran from October 19 through December 2, at which time we decided to continue with the program based on its popularity.  The program continues to be very popular with our customers!

The Chester County Library offers hotspots for a 3, 7, or 14 day loan period. The Henrietta Hankin Branch Library offers hotspots for either a 3 or 7 day loan period. The cost to borrow a hotspot is $2 per day.  The hotspots must be picked up at the library, and returned to the same library.  We also ask that you return them to the Circulation Desk rather than put them in the book drop to avoid any damage to the unit.  For more details, information on how to reserve a hotspot, please visit our website.
